Pottery and Ceramics - A collection of ceramics and stoneware pots fired in oxidising and reduction atmospheres from 1100ºC to 1300ºC. Some pieces have been processed with additional lustre and enamel firings.

Poetry - Poems on the human shadow - poetry that penetrates that which we, as individuals and as a society, lock in "the basement below the basement" - out of sight and rarely investigated. Throwing light into this darkness tends to dissolve political correctness and reveals the inauthentic masks with which we overlay the raw fact of our primate being.

What the human species needs now is a quantum leap in intelligence or we will forever be spear-carriers in our own soap-operas. Slow, unconscious evolution is no longer enough. It's wake-up time!

Notes To Myself - In our culture almost all the old mentors - the wise old men and women filled with rich teaching and knowledge - have been relegated to the scrapheap. The cellular learning that happens when you stand next to a mentor for long periods of time has been replaced by a kind of shallow pseudo-teaching that devolves into the frantic rush for survival, money, position and power - an extremely leaky boat indeed. Notes to Myself is a sort of brain jogger and mental dust-buster - a reminder that when we take one step toward the soul it will step toward us a hundred.

John Waterman - New Zealand's North Island from earth orbit, thanks to NASA and JPLAs far back as I can remember I've been fascinated by volcanoes, geology, molten rock, space exploration and images of the earth from space. I've created this small gallery of pics to show the immense beauty of New Zealand and the NZ volcanic landscape from a new perspective - orbital space.

Being a visual person, the computer is a wonderfully liberating tool. I've hardly begun to explore the graphical dimensions that beckon to me from beyond the "nine dots". Strangely related to my work with ceramics; computer graphics, design and imagery offer a pallette of colour and texture I could only dream of when working within the limitations of clay, glaze and temperature.
