This 'Poetry in Protest' segment of the Festival has been organized by poet Laila Sumpton.
"A powerful performance of contemporary war poetry published in In Protest: 150 Poems for Human Rights about conflicts ranging from the Spanish Civil War to Syria. Hosted by co-editor and poet Laila Sumpton, the poets published in the anthology and those performing at the festival come together to perform global war poetry and celebrate the resilience of the human spirit and the need to bear witness to the horrors of war." - Review supplied by third party.
The Byre Theatre venue includes an Auditorium, Studio Theatre, Conference Room, foyers, bar/bistro & restaurant. There is a poetry bookstall where Esther Kamkar's latest book "Hum Of Bees" will be available for purchase.
